Hi I have just bought a 7745 all seems good apart from right side brake sticks on after depressing will this all have to come apart to sort

IT'S THE HANDBRAKE BAND I THINK ? THIS WAS ON THE RIGHT SIDE ON OLD ZETORS WITH DRUM BRAKES . I ALWAYS REVERSE BEFORE GOING FORWARD IF THE HAND BRAKE HAS BEEN LEFT ON TO (SNAP) THE SEAL. BUT I THINK 7745 HAS DISC BRAKES SO IT IS PROBABLY A SEIZED CALIPER OR RUSTED DISC YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF WHOLE BACK AXLE TO FIX IT:eek: ITS THE ONLY WAY!:sneaky:

Hol smokes that sounds like a big job , its a 1993 model , brake does release but only after a bitt of tooing and throwing but as soon as you apply brake I have the same problem

YOU CAN'T DO IT WITH OUT A ENGINE CRANE AND A HELPER;) ITS JUST STUPID TO TRY69) I THINK IT COULD ALSO BE A SNAPED SPRING NOT PULLING THE BRAKE APART AFTERWARDS SO IT'S CONSTANTLY (ON) ALL THE TIME . IF THE BRAKES DONT LOOK GOOD IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT NEW ONES TO SAVE DOING THE JOB AGAIN;). THE PARTS DONT COST A LOT:D IT'S JUST THE HOURS TO DO IT:( A WORKSHOP MANUAL REALLY HELPS! ITS NOT DIFFICULT:) JUST A LOT OF TIME:( AND MUSCLES!;) IF YOU GET ANY TROUBLE YOU KNOW WERE TO COME!!!

The 7745 must have disk brakes.

You can check for the lever mechanism on the back of the rear axle.

If the brakes have to be redone, you need to pull the halfaxle portals which are quite heavy.
It is advised to use one of those workshop cranes like car mechanics use to swap engines, but a rope on the roof might also work.
Or just a strong table with a smooth (for sliding) top.
If you have another tractor around you could try the 3pt hitch or front loader as well.

hi
when i did my brakes i put the wheel flat on floor with a 3inch
bored across it and slided itout watch your back and toe's
just in case!
