question Alternator replacement at Zetor 5911

Hi Everyone,

My alternator died (saltwater) so I bought a Sparex replacement. It seems to fit ok but I don't know how to wire it or if it's externally or internally regulated. It has B+ and earth terminals which are obvious but then it has R and L. I'm guessing R is ignition and L is lamp if it's internally regulated. I've asked Sparex but no answer. Does anyone know?
 
please upload some pictures from the new alternator and the old one ...
 
Here is the old and new alternator. The existing regulator seems to have a D+ and D- terminal plus each. But D- could be DF it's hard to tell

Here I have made a wiring diagram for this oldt type alternators without own regulator inside.


I think that should help to install it the corect way.

Generally, its better to use a alternator with integrated regulator - less parts, less wirings, easier install as you can see here:

I made a new FAQ entry, with some more informations about this stuff around alternators in Zetor tractors...
