Can anyone explain how these two levers work? I can only move the yellow lever when engine is off, is that normal? There seems to be three positions for the yellow lever or possibly a forward and reverse lever and middle is neutral. I don’t know what the lever with the initials is for, seems to control the pto. Any help would be appreciated.

Can anone tell me how this lever works and what the letters stand for?

The Yellow-Handles are for the PTO settings. You may have a 2 speed PTO.
The D_M_P lever is for the rear 3-Point-Hitch, I use the P setting.

The yellow lever (for PTO) will engage at a regular speed when you set it towards front, but if you set it backwards, it will change speed and direction providing the gear you use.

The other lever will define the "smoothness" for the rear lifting.
-P is the hardest, which will try to keep the same position/elevation all the way, so it might be the best option for mowing grass, for instance;
-M is the middle one, and will auto-adjust providing the soil roughness, so it might be a better choice for dealing with mid-hard soils with some rocks;
-D works better for situations on very rocky grounds.
