I tried to clean the filter in the rear end of my 7745, and when I pulled the big plug the oil never stopped running out. The book says the only oil lost is the oil in the area of the screen. Does anybody know whats wrong or is this normal.

How dirty was your filter ?
It can also be that so much dirt collected around the filter that the spring loaded valve didnt seal on it's o-ring.
If it was that dirty, just let it rush out and use new oil
By the way, an oil pump mounted below the air cleaner is rare, because this would give a 40 litr per minute capacity for an additional 1200 Euro, where an independent oil pump mounted on the side of the engine (standard on all the 7711 successors) was only about 500 euro more, with the same capacity.

Thanks for the reply. I never got the filter out it seems to be bent out of round and I didn't want to destroy it getting it out without a replacement on hand. Oil is a little milky, I think from water entering through bad boot on transmission shifter so I'll change the oil and both filters. I was wondering if there may be a problem.
