NEED ADVICE ON 7745 TRANSMISSION

Hello all,
I have a 7745 that the pto and hydraulics have stopped working. From what I've read here, and already tried, my next step is to pull the top trans cover. Is there a certain process for this? Shift levers need to be in a certain position or anything like that that I should know? Thanks, juney

no, but take the knobs off the levers. the floor plate with seat is kinda heavy when you push it up with your bare back, a couple of times before realising the P-M-D lever knob is holding it down...
