PTO lever Broke

I reached down to turn the PTO lever off today and it broke. The PTO is still engaged but the lever is free floating. I don't see any way to get inside the transfer case to take a look and see where the linkage might have come apart. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

take off the floor plate over the gearlevers. i think its only the pin that holds the lever to the shaft thats broke. its an easy fix,

I got the cover off and removed the bolt from the top of the housing. The whole lever comes out. It's not the role pin. It appears the shift itself broke. Is it connected to the other lever high low as a single pin or are they seperate?

then the weld must have broken. Take the gearbox lid off and check if the levers both look the same from the underside
